Why Choose Dundee?

One important reason is that the University of Dundee was ranked number one for research in biological sciences by the U.K. government's latest assessment in 2014. Another is that the University of Dundee was named the Scottish University of the Year for 2016 and 2017 in The Times & Sunday Times Good University Guide, and was ranked number one in Scotland for six years running by the Times Higher Education Student Experience Survey (2010 - 2015). In addition, Dundee has been variously described as the ‘coolest little city in Britain’ (GQ magazine), or as having a setting that "is probably more extraordinary than any other city in Scotland or Britain” (the actor Stephen Fry), reflecting the unique waterfront location of Dundee, where the majestic river Tay meets the north Sea.
