I joined the lab in February 2017 as a Postdoctoral researcher. My project focuses on the role and the regulation of the Serine/Threonine protein kinase ULK1 during mitophagy.

Before joining the lab, I studied at the University of Padova, where I graduated in Molecular Biology. During my undergraduate studies, I spent one year at the University of Geneva in the lab of Professor Luca Scorrano, under the supervision of Dr Elena Ziviani. I then joined the lab of Prof. Scorrano in Padova for my PhD and extended my research for a year as a young Postdoc in the lab of Dr Ziviani. My research work focused on the regulation of Parkin translocation to damaged mitochondria.
