I got my first taste of science when I worked in TalTech as a lab trainee, studying the subcellular localisation of transcription factors in Huntington's disease. This work sparked my interest in cell signalling and molecular biology. Therefore the logical continuation was to start my studies at the University of Dundee. In the spring of 2022, I had a chance to work in the MRC PPU mass spectrometry facility as a trainee. These experiences gave me a good foundation to join Sir Philip Cohen's lab for the summer of 2022, where I now study non-conventional ubiquitylation in different ubiquitin E1-E2 systems.
