I joined the lab in April 2013 to undertake a rotation project as part of the 4 year MRC PhD programme. I chose to stay in the lab for the remainder of my PhD and my project focuses on understanding the signalling pathways involved in mitophagy.
Before joining the lab I studied at the University of Glasgow where I graduated with a First Class Honours degree in Biochemistry. During my undergraduate degree I spent a year at the University of British Columbia, Vancouver and I also completed a one year industrial placement working on the development of novel antimicrobial peptides for the treatment of cystic fibrosis.
