I joined John's lab as a PhD student in September 2013. My project concerns the identification and characterisation of novel proteins involved in the DNA damage response, with particular focus on the role of ubiquitylation in recombination mediated DNA repair.

Prior to moving to Dundee, I studied Molecular and Cellular Biochemistry at St. Peter's College, University of Oxford and graduated with a First Class MBiochem (Hons) degree. My Masters research project was focused on elucidating the roles of the fission yeast FANCM homologue and the nuclease Mus81 in resolution of anaphase bridges.
