I obtained my PhD in Biology and Molecular Biotechnology from the University of Perugia (Italy). I worked under the supervision of Prof. Tommaso Beccari and Prof. Lucilla Parnetti to understand the potential role of lysosomal enzymes as cerebrospinal fluid biomarkers for Parkinson’s disease diagnosis.

I joined the Unit as Postdoctoral Researcher back in February 2017 working in Dario Alessi’s lab in collaboration with GSK. I’ve been testing and validating new research tools to characterize LRRK2 signalling pathway in Parkinson's disease and now, in Mahima Swamy's lab, I will be focusing on studying LRRK2 as pharmacological target for Crohn's Disease.
