I joined the group in September 2016 as a postdoctoral researcher. My project will be focussed on characterising the protein FAM83F and investigating its role in cell signalling and potential disease pathogenesis. Prior to joining the group, I completed a PhD at the Institute of genetics and molecular medicine and the University of Edinburgh under the supervision of Miss Farhat Din. My PhD was an investigation into the effects of aspirin on cell invasion, epithelial-mesenchymal transition and the stem cell population in Colorectal cancer. I hold a degree in Veterinary medicine and science (BVMS) from the University of Glasgow. Away for the laboratory my focus switches to rugby and I currently play club rugby for RHC Cougars in Edinburgh and I am proud to represent my country as a member of the Scotland women’s rugby team.
