Since April 2023 I have been a technician in Kirby Swatek’s lab at the MRC PPU. I completed my BSc(Hons) in Biological Chemistry & Drug Discovery and MSc in Biomedical & Molecular Sciences at the University of Dundee. For my masters research project in Prof. Bill Hunter’s lab, and in collaboration with Prof. Sarah Coulthurst, I looked to identify the structure and function of two newly identified effector-immunity complexes associated with the type VI secretion system in Serratia marcescens.
