I joined the Mehta Lab in April 2025 as a postdoctoral researcher, where I am working on an MND Accelerator project focused on identifying key kinases that influence motor neuron degeneration in Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS). This project leverages cutting-edge human stem cell technologies to uncover novel therapeutic targets.
Prior to this, I completed my PhD at the School of Life Sciences, Jawaharlal Nehru University, India, under the mentorship of Prof. Amal Mondal. My doctoral research explored the role of the Hippo signalling pathway in the pathogenesis of Alzheimer’s disease, utilising cellular and animal models. The findings from my work have contributed to a deeper understanding of the molecular mechanisms underlying neurodegeneration and offer valuable insights into the processes driving neuronal death in Alzheimer’s disease.
