I joined the lab in September 2015 on an EASTBIO/BBSRC 4 year PhD studentship. The aim of my project is to study how the PINK1 kinase is regulated. Before joining the lab I completed my undergraduate BSc (Hons) and MPhil degrees at the University of Stirling. While there I completed two projects, one on the regulation of carnitine uptake in cell models of skeletal muscle and the other focused on changes in the skeletal muscle proteome in response to saturated and unsaturated fatty acids.
