I joined the Unit in August 2015 as a 4 year PhD rotation student. In my first rotation project I studied the role of the kinase ULK-1 in autophagy initiation in Ian Ganley's lab. I joined Gopal's lab in January 2016 to study the roles of FAM83 proteins in cells.

Before joining the Unit I studied at the University of Dundee where I graduated with a First Class Honours degree in Anatomical and Physiological Sciences. During my undergraduate studies I became fascinated by the complex ways cells signal to themselves and others, during both normal conditions and times of stress. I am excited to investigate cell signalling further during the course of my PhD.
