I completed my undergraduate degree at the University of Dundee in Molecular Genetics then continued with a Master's degree in Biomedical and molecular sciences. My thesis project was undertaken at the James Hutton Institute under the supervision of Claire Halpin where I had identified candidate BAHD genes in various barley cultivars.

I currently am working in Esther's group where I am helping within the team and assisting in the investigation of the effect of VPS35 mutations on LRRK2 signalling pathways.
