I joined the laboratory of Prof. Alessi as a postdoctoral researcher in November 2016. My project aims to elucidate the role of the SGK3 kinase in cancer and to determine its substrates.

I obtained a PhD from the Department of Molecular Biology and Genetics, Democritus University of Thrace in Alexandoupolis, Greece. I investigated the molecular mechanisms underlying T-lymphocyte infiltration in early stage ovarian cancer, under the supervision of Prof. Sandaltzopoulos. After that, I worked as a postdoctoral researcher in the laboratories of Assist. Prof. Galanis and Assoc. Prof. Pappa at Democritus University of Thrace and studied the health promoting properties of probiotics and natural products in disease models
