I joined Miratul Muqits' lab in 2020 on an ASAP funded dentship to study the LRRK2 and PINK1 signaling pathways in Parkinson’s disease. My project aims to combine the development of a method for rapid and specific isolation of mitochondria from brain cells with the power of metabolomics and proteomics analysis, to discover molecular mechanisms of mitochondriall dysfunction relevant to Parkinson's disease.

I obtained my BSC in Biology from the University of Patras, and my MSc in Neuroscience from the University of Edinburgh where I studied the dopaminergic system and then further specialized in the Neurodegeneration and regeneration field.
