Research Technician

I joined the MRC Protein Phosphorylation and Ubiquitylation Unit in February 2026 as a research technician under the supervision of professor Miratul Muqit. My work focuses on Rab8a, Rab GTPases, and protein purification. Before this, I was a visiting researcher at University College London. I completed my MRes in Tissue Engineering and Innovation Technology at King’s College London, where my project focused on developing and optimising decellularised extracellular matrix (dECM) protocols from mammalian cells for 3D bioprinted regenerative applications. I previously completed a master’s degree in biophysics, working on nanomaterials and their characterisation for drug delivery systems; I also have a background in cell and molecular biology with broad experience in biomaterials, cell-based assays, and molecular techniques.
