I am a medical doctor and PhD graduate from Mexico, currently a Postdoctoral Researcher in Dario Alessi’s lab at the University of Dundee.

I completed my PhD in 2025 at the National Autonomous University of Mexico (UNAM) in the laboratory of Dr. María Castañeda Bueno, where I studied the molecular regulation of sodium transport in the renal tubule, focusing on the WNK–SPAK signaling pathway and its role in hypertension.

My work explored how NRBP1 and TSC22D proteins modulate WNK4 function in the kidney.

I obtained my medical degree from the Autonomous University of San Luis Potosí.

My research interests focus on ion transport regulation and kinase modulation in physiology and disease.
