I joined Virginia De Cesare’s Lab in September 2024 on a 4-year EASTBIO funded PhD studentship, to expand the research toolbox in the kinase field. My project focuses on the innovative integration of Matrix-Assisted Laser Desorption/Ionization Time-of-Flight (MALDI-TOF) mass spectrometry with kinase inhibitor profiling. This aims to deepen our understanding of kinase activities, which are essential regulatory components in cellular signalling and numerous disease pathways.
Prior to joining the lab, I obtained a BSc degree in Biochemistry from Covenant University, Nigeria, and an MSc degree in Biomedical and Molecular Sciences from the University of Dundee.
