Dr Ifeoluwapo Joshua has his background in biochemistry after completing his BSc degree from the University of Ibadan, Nigeria. He then went on to obtain his Master's degree in biomedical immunology at the university of East London and taking up his Ph.D in biochemistry and biological science at the lab of Dr Thomas Hoefken where is thesis focused on identifying the role of the p21 activated kinases Ste20 and Cla4 in modulating the expression of Gpd1, the rate limiting enzyme in glycerol biosynthesis, using the budding yeast as a model system. He has joined Dr Adrien Rousseau's lab as a postdoc research assistant in better understanding the complexity of proteasome homeostasis.
