I joined Miratul Muqit’s lab in June 2018 to study the regulation of Rab GTPases phosphorylation in the PINK1-Parkin signalling pathway.

I did my undergraduate in Biotechnology at University of Bologna, where I carried out my thesis under the supervision of Prof. Alessandra Zambonelli, at Agrarian Faculty, where I studied the fungal soil ecosystem of natural truffles.

I did my master in Pharmaceutical Biotechnology at University of Bologna. In my master thesis project, I studied the role of F-box proteins in mitosis and centrosome regulation using Drosophila cultured cells in Dr Yuu Kimata lab, at the Department of Genetics, University of Cambridge.

I carried out my PhD at University of Dundee in Prof J. Julian Blow lab, where I studied the role and the regulation of the protein MTBP (Mdm2 binding protein) in DNA replication using the Xenopus egg extract cell-free system.

After my PhD, I carried out a short-term project in Prof. Sir Philip Cohen lab, in MRC Protein Phosphorylation and Ubiquitination Unit, where I characterised antibodies in collaboration with a pharmaceutical company.
