I started my PhD in Helen's group in September 2013. I am focussing on understanding molecular details of the interaction between the Fanconi Anemia E3 ubiquitin ligase, FANCL, and E2 conjugating enzyme, Ube2T.

I studied Biochemistry at the University of Bath, graduating with an MBiochem degree. During my degree I undertook two placements in labs in the U.S. (Department of Biochemistry and Molecular Genetics at the University of Illinois at Chicago, and Department of Structural Biology at St Jude Children's Research Hospital, Memphis) where I learned molecular biology techniques and NMR spectroscopy, and I undertook my Masters project in a protein crystallography lab.
