I joined the Muqit Lab in September 2026 as a Postdoctoral Research Assistant working on the Targets to Therapies (T2T) project, funded by the Michael J. Fox Foundation. The project aims to accelerate the development of therapeutics targeting fundamental mechanisms underlying Parkinson’s disease.

Before joining the lab, I completed my PhD in membrane trafficking under the supervision of Dr David Murray in the Division of Molecular, Cell and Developmental Biology at the University of Dundee. My doctoral research focused on understanding the regulatory mechanisms of the exocyst complex, an evolutionarily conserved octameric protein complex that tethers secretory vesicles to the plasma membrane prior to fusion.
