I have completed my Bachelor's in Biochemistry, Genetics and Microbiology at the Oxford College of Science, Bangalore, India and Master's in Molecular Biology and Human Genetics at Manipal Academy of Higher Education (MAHE), India. In view of my interest in neuroscience, I did six months internship under Dr Somasish Ghosh Dastidar at the Centre of Neuroscience, MAHE, India to work on a project aimed to understand the underlying mechanisms of FUS aggregation in Amyotrophic lateral sclerosis. Then, I joined Medical Genetics Department at MAHE as a research fellow under Dr Anju Shukla for two years, where I worked on a research project which aimed to elucidate the genetic etiology and underlying mechanisms of neurodevelopmental disorders in the Indian population.

Currently, I have joined Dr Greg Findlay's lab for my PhD project which is focused on understanding the role of RNF12 in neurodevelopment and underlying disease mechanisms in intellectual disability.
