I joined the Sapkota group in October 2020 as a postdoctoral researcher. My work in the lab will focus on the mechanistic details of the interaction between FAM83 and CK1 proteins. Before joining the group, I completed my PhD at the Indian Institute of Technology Hyderabad under the supervision of Dr. Rajakumara Eerappa. In my PhD I worked on understanding how SRA domains from different proteins (UHRF1 and SUVH5) read/recognise symmetric and asymmetric cytosine methylation on DNA. Away from lab I enjoy playing and spending time with my family.
