I joined the Muqit Lab in September 2025 as an undergraduate student at the university of Glasgow studying for a master's in Biochemistry. I am currently completing my integrated placement year in research as part of my degree by investigating the functional impact of various novel PINK1 mutations identified in various populations. Additionally, I am focusing on further exploring the importance of Tomm7 in relation to PINK1 kinase activation and the PINK1/Parkin pathway.
