I joined the Sapkota lab in December 2016 as a postdoctoral researcher, thereby shifting my research focus from plants to human tissue culture. I completed my doctoral studies at the department of molecular cell biology of plants at the Goethe University in Frankfurt under the supervision of Prof. Enrico Schleiff. My research was focused on the regulation of heat stress transcription factor degradation in tomato. In the Sapkota lab I will study targeted protein degradation using the previously established AdProm system.

Outside of the lab I enjoy running and swimming and with enough training also the occasional short distance triathlon.
