I am undertaking an observership in clinical and research aspects of Parkinson’s under Prof Muqit and Dr Esther Sammler.

I graduated from Izmir Ege University as a medical doctor and I completed my clinical genetics specialization at Izmir Dokuz Eylül University. As a clinical geneticist for ten years, I have evaluated thousands of patients in every age group with every genetic disease imaginable; I have analyzed genetic tests and provided genetic counseling to families. I have recently focused specifically on Parkinson's and movement disorders. In the last 4 years, I have seen nearly 500 Parkinson's patients and evaluated them genetically using the NGS method. I have recently started my doctorate at Istanbul University in order to learn the underlying mechanisms of the diseases and rapidly advancing scientific developments and possible genetic treatments.
