In 2023, I completed a BSc (Hons) in Biomedical Science at the Schol of Life Sciences within the University of Dundee. After which, I joined the School of Life Sciences as a Technician, where I worked through the summer before starting my PhD studies.

I joined Doctor Amos Liang’s Lab in September 2023 with funding from EastBio. My project involves understanding and characterising NFXL1, a gene localised to the ER that may have an influential role within maintaining ER homeostasis. This work will contribute towards the overall lab goal of developing the research surrounding ER-phagy.
