I joined the lab in March 2021 as a postdoctoral research assistant. My project focuses on understanding the regulation and function of two protein kinases implicated in Parkinson’s disease namely LRRK2 and PINK1, and how these enzymes regulate lysosome and mitochondria using mass spectrometry.

I obtained my PhD degree from the research group of Prof. Peter O’Connor at University of Warwick (UK) in 2018. My postgraduate study focused on understanding the aggregation and inhibition pathways of one of the amyloid proteins – human islet amyloid polypeptide, and compared the mechanisms between wild-type and aged hIAPP using mass spectrometry. After my PhD degree, I continued my research in Prof. Peter O’Connor group to develop a new mass spectrometry technique, named two-dimensional mass spectrometry.
