I joined the Muqit lab in May 2021. It is my first postdoc position, in which I will be using mass spectrometry approaches to understand the regulation and function of LRRK2 and PINK1 protein kinases.
I completed my PhD through the MRC Discovery Medicine North (DiMeN) DTP, at the University of Leeds, under the supervision of Dr Ron Chen and later Prof. Ian Hope. In collaboration with the Dickman group at the University of Sheffield, I used LC-MS/MS to quantify the abundance of histone modifications, in order to study the role of the COMPASS complex in transgenerational epigenetic inheritance, in the C. elegans model.
