My project focuses on developing fast and efficient organelle isolation techniques to study the cellular dynamics of LRRK2 at the organelle level.

As a recipient of Elphinstone PhD scholarship, I obtained my PhD from the University of Aberdeen in the labs of Prof Bernadette Connolly, Dr Berndt Müller and Dr Jonathan Pettitt where I worked on the characterisation of RNA-protein complexes involved in nematodes’ spliced leader trans-splicing. My PhD research formed the basis of a three years BBSRC project grant about “Understanding the mechanism of a nematode molecular Achilles’’ heel.” (2020-2023).
