I joined the Alessi Lab in 2026 as a Research Technician working on the Targets to Therapies (T2T) project, funded by the Michael J. Fox Foundation. This industry-academic collaborative project aims to identify and validate new therapeutic molecules targeting biological processes involved in Parkinson’s disease
Prior to joining the Alessi Lab, I completed my BSc (Hons) in Biomedical Sciences at the University of Dundee. My Honours Project, supervised by Prof. Adrian Saurin, focused on understanding how the Mitotic Surveillance Pathway regulates cell-cycle progression in cells with Whole Genome Doubling, a process commonly observed in cancer. During my summer research placement in the Alessi Lab, I investigated how the BromoTag knock-in model affects LRRK2 protein levels and activity across different mouse tissues.
