Elizabeth joined the Findlay lab as a Wellcome Trust funded postdoctoral research assistant in 2021. She previously completed her PhD working with Claus Jørgensen at the CRUK Manchester Institute, where she studied the mechanism and network of a kinase regulating crosstalk between tumour cells and fibroblasts in the pancreatic cancer microenvironment. This work inspired her interest in cell signalling and molecular biology. With Greg Findlay she is investigating signalling mechanisms that regulate embryonic stem cell biology, focussing on understanding the effects of disrupted kinase and ligase activity in the context of intellectual disabilities.
