I joined John's lab in January 2006 and I am currently funded by an AICR fellowship. My main interest is to understand how mammalian cells sense and respond to DNA damage in order to help deciphering aspects such as the relationship between genomic instability and cancer. My work in the lab is specially focused on hPTIP, an essential protein with an important role in the DNA damage induced signalling pathway.

I graduated in the Faculty of Veterinary at the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona where I obtained the degree of PhD in Biochemistry. The main focus of my PhD was to study the molecular regulation of Ppz1, a phosphatase involved in several aspects of the biology of the yeast Saccharomyces cerevisiae.
