I joined Greg Findlay’s group in April 2019 as a Wellcome Trust rotation student and finally stay in the lab for PhD project on September 2019. I was graduated in Biotechnology in 2017 by the University Pablo de Olavide (Seville, Spain). For my final year research project, I carried out a study on proteins interactions by the bimolecular fluorescence complementation technique (BiFC) in the model organism C. elegans. During 2018, I was working in Owen Davies’s lab at Newcastle University on a project which’s aim was to elucidate the molecular structures, mechanisms of E3 ligase activity and structural basis of the Synaptonemal Complex. My work on Greg’s lab will now focus on investigating the regulation and function of RNF12, an E3 ubiquitin ligase disrupted in Tonne-Kalscheuer Syndrome (TOKAS).
