I joined the Alessi lab in March 2015 as a postdoctoral researcher to study how the LRRK2 signalling pathway contributes to Parkinson’s disease. I’m particularly interested in understanding what regulates LRRK2 activity and how its downstream effectors drive disease processes.

A big part of my work involves developing and validating total and phospho-specific antibodies - key tools for studying LRRK2 biology. This includes generating antibodies for Rab proteins and their interactors, as well as generating novel antibodies for organelle enrichment techniques. In addition to my own research, I provide support to other lab members and collaborate on projects aimed at advancing our understanding of Parkinson’s.
