I started my post-doctoral research journey in the cool pleasant winter of Dundee with Prof Dario Alessi’s group. My work aims to explore the novel binding partner of WNK1 kinase and their role in WNK signaling mediated hypertension. I would be employing traditional biochemical methods, in vitro assays and proteomics to unravel the pathway.

I completed my PhD from Advanced Centre for Treatment Research and Education in Cancer (ACTREC) under Dr Sanjay Gupta (Epigenetics & Chromatin Biology Group) in 2021. As a part of my thesis, I explored the role of epigenetic modifications (histone post translational modifications) during cellular transformation of gastric epithelial cells. I have developed an in vitro transformation model of gastric carcinogenesis and have established a pre-clinical model of gastric cancer for exploring the therapeutic utility of prospective chemotherapy drugs. Earlier I have studied the cross signaling between quorum sensing molecules of Candida albicans and Pseudomonas aeruginosa as a part of MSc Dissertation project. Looking forward to utilize my knowledge, experience and insights I have gained through this entire academic journey to understand human pathological disorders.
