I joined the MRC-PPU 4-years PhD programme in September 2015. After one year of rotations in the Unit, I started my PhD under the supervision of Dr. Ian Ganley, where I am focused in deciphering the key signalling proteins regulating mitophagy.

I graduated with a first-class BSc (Hons) degree in Biotechnology from the Autonomous University of Barcelona (UAB). During my last year, I undertook a study abroad program at the University of Dundee with an Erasmus Mundus Scholarship, where I combined my undergraduate studies with a research internship in Professor Dario Alessi group
